Melissa’s Guide for the Everyday Guy – Chlorinda’s Meatballs and Sausage
On fall day, we were invited by Clorinda to enjoy the 1st of many dishes. As part of Melissa’s continuing Guide to NYC and great things for the Everyday Guy to do, we visited Clorinda’s house and partook in some great food. Meatballs – look at the video – combination of three meats o Beef, Pork and Veal – Eggs – Bread Crumbs Tomato Sauce Onions Olive Oil A great dish completed with some Sausich (Sausage) and …… All led up to FABULOUS FOOD…filled our stomachs. Penne al formaggio!!
Italian cuisine is one of my favorites and It’s very quick & fun to make…….
I made a delicious penne pasta with pasta sauce and added fresh herbs like basil, thyme, rosemary and oregano & topped with shredded mozzerella & cheddar cheese…..mmmmm…..
(This dish literally takes about 15 minutes to make and it is absolutely delicious.)

Cooking with Hot Rod – Flounder with Pasta and Mussels
On Saturday, I am hanging with Hot Rod(ney) Ramirez, we wanted to cook something for our friends. Decided to hit the Farmers Market on 14th Street (Manhattan). Hop on the bikes, always the fastest way to get around in NYC – either that or the subway!
So what did I find:
- Lemon Thyme
- Thai Basil
- Chives
- Fingerling Potatoes.
- Beets
- Vidalia Onions
- Shallots
- Spinach Pasta
- Mussels
- Flounder
